Alyssa grew up learning piano with the Royal Conservatory of music while learning Ballet, jazz and tap dance through the Ontario Dance teachers association. Alyssa also competed in girl's gymnastics and horse back riding from the age of four. From an early age, Alyssa has been passionate about acting, singing and modelling. Her ability and talent has piqued the interest of agents, casting directors, photographers, film makers, producers and writers world wide. "During my professional life, different passions have taken the drivers seat. Right now, it is my music behind the wheel. As a child I was always singing out loud in church, as well as in theatres and on auditorium stages across Ontario. For as long as I can remember, I've heard my own music being played in my mind."By age 16, Alyssa had appeared in over 200 live theatre performances and by age 17 she had moved to NYC for a 3 month modelling contract; which turned into a 9-year career in both modelling and acting. During this time Alyssa appeared in 25 of the top magazines while modelling and acting for "A list" clients such as Giorgio Armani, Glamour Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Elizabeth Arden, Cover Girl, Warner Bros, Lions Gate, and Showtime. Living between NYC and LA, Alyssa worked on several studio films including Woody Allen's film "Melinda and Melinda". In 2007, Alyssa travelled to Africa to work on the film "Gallow Walker" where she played the love interest of the lead Character "Aman" played by Wesley Snipes. She has also appeared in a variety of other films that you can find listed on IMDB."The Honesty that Alyssa brings to the role is captivating. Her song "Bring it Back" was featured on The Showtime hit Series "The L Word". Alyssa is also featured on the "Gallow Walker" sound track as her character "Sueno". (Film yet to be released)In 2000, Alyssa discovered a new passion: Yoga. She has been practicing daily for several years and has been teaching Yoga for the last three years. "Yoga helps me keep a peaceful and clear mind. It's my path to self-realization; it's a path that has been inspired by Yogi Paramahansa Yogananda. This path has gifted me with the eyes to see miracles." Alyssa holds the environment and the global community close to her heart. She has organized various philantropy projects and would like to do a lot more of this work in the future. She believes that her art is a vehicle that can reach the masses to help make the world a better place. Her music speaks for itself, so make sure to have a listen.
